Romulus is a malamute dog with no wolf content, yet he has made a home here at SFWS as the faithful Romeo to his Juliet, Calypso. He arrived at the sanctuary in 2009, when he and his brother, Remus, were about four months old. They was discovered in a yard in north Texas, abandoned and without food or water after their owner had been arrested. A neighbor heard the pups whimpering, and along with other good Samaritans helped to rescue the brothers and deliver them to SFWS. Romulus has blossomed into a wonderfully loving, outgoing, and beautiful dog, and is a favorite with visitors and volunteers alike. Remus was adopted by a loving family as he was suited to the family life, unlike Romulus!
