A Voice for Wolves (Voices for Animals Badge, Grades 9-10)
While at SFWS, Scouts will also learn about the importance of enrichment for captive wild animals, and help us create enrichment items for our animals to enjoy.
Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary offers a Girl Scouts Program for Seniors! During the session, Scouts will have an opportunity to learn about:
The wolves and wolfdogs of SFWS
Gray wolves (Canis lupus) and other wolf species
The myths surrounding wolves which led to their endangerment and their continued vilification by many people around the world
The truth about wolf behavior and the benefits they provide to their environment
The ways in which people in areas with wild wolf populations are learning to coexist with them, and protect both themselves and wolves
